Adobe PDF Library

Spending too much time maintaining PDF support within your application, and not enough on its core functionality? By integrating the Adobe PDF Library API, you will end up with better PDF functionality and more time to focus on the rest of your application.

About the Adobe PDF Library

The Adobe PDF Library is an SDK which allows developers to quickly add reliable, robust PDF capabilities to their applications. Powerful client- and server-based PDF solutions can be built using the same core technology that Adobe uses to build Acrobat.

The toolkit provides:

  • a broad range of functionality;
  • full compatibility with the latest PDF specification;
  • language interfaces for .NET and Java;
  • consistent, reliable support on a broad range of platforms; and
  • high-performance, scalable optimized PDF processing.

Our customers are using the Library to:

  • render PDFs within their customized document viewer;
  • generate reports in 40+ languages using Unicode and double-byte fonts;
  • extract text from PDFs for indexing;
  • manipulate the contents of PDF documents in prepress workflows;
  • and more.

A wide range of functionality is available and regular updates from Adobe ensure compatibility with future versions of PDF.
